Human values

Human values have changed in the totalitarian society. We used to respect other humans based on humanity and hospitality. We had the old value from the Bible to respect one's neighbor. In CACIREMA, we don't have such altruistic fantasy. Everyone is evaluated based on the currency as how much useful per a day. The daily income is based on what the one can own from the job. The human value became much like that. Each individual is evaluated based on how useful per a day in the society. For the Counter-Intelligence, the one's value would increase if the one can successfully taken out another 'unwelcome' person from the society. It is not like what Nazis and other totalitarian regime with massive propaganda on certain ethnic groups did. The top elites decides who are on the black list, and the local citizens cooperate together to take out the unwelcome person from their neighborhood. When someone is anti-social or disadvantage for certain interest group, that person's value would be dropped from what seems as disadvantage of one's value as in the society as total. If the person work for the opponent's group, say a company against their rivals, the value won't change. However, when the person is looked as useless from others or the intelligence, the one's value could suddenly became zero. That means the person would be the target of the CONTELPRO.

This mechanism helps the top elites to dominate around the worlds as they are the one with money in the society and their income directly effect their value as human being in the society. On the other hands, the minorities, disabled, mentally ill, or sick, are often on the other end in the society, so there is no need to tell whose value is low as human being. These people are often earing the minimum wages and are usually treated as useless in the society even after the Fordism and other form of -isms in the rationalized social practices. They could be simply taken from the area if they are mobbed. No one cares so much about these weaklings when others around are also the target of such social justice in future. They just want some 'others' to be gone, while themselves can assure their own seats in the society. These dirty works are forced on the working class while the top elites stay clean with making good relationships.

Sometimes, they make funding by the local surveillance team. The fund will be given as the rewards for the individual who are doing these dirty jobs directly. Meanwhile, others are showing their support to the COINTELPRO and the individual's work - whatever flirting, assaulting, and even assassination of the target. This money will increase the human value dramatically for a temporary time. The money will be paid for the person after the success of the mission. The value does not effect how much the one can get every day. It is like the estimation of the work per day for such dirty jobs. The price is flat as it only counted as the work of the entire day instead of the type of the work. Someone might be asked to sleep with the targeted person, but in such case, the one only gets the temporary raised value for the success. If the one fails the job, the one's value would b dropped to zero. That is why the one needs to be engaged in the dirty work.

There used to be people around of the world who did not know such system created by the united intelligence team. Now we know more about it as we have many people working as these intelligence teams who just show up as the member in the neighborhoods for taking out some possible social disturbance in future. The targeted person are usually the normal civilians who don't know anything about such new human value system. The churches and local NGOs can often support the funding for the human value reward payment. They just have two valance sheets - one for their own work and another one that is related with this payment covered by unreported donations. 

The role of the embassies.

After the global conquer by the world elites, the national interests became no longer the top priorities. Any one can move around and get a new residential status if they are capable to afford a property there. The people capable of working in the foreign countries are limited to the people who are acceptable by the embassies. Otherwise, the people are encouraged by the organized stalking with the MNCs funding and sent back to their own countries to make the elites' puppets jobs easy.

The foreign embassies recruits more people for the surveillance of the citizens abroad. They have the right to create and inform any suspicion on the citizens. They don't receive a respect, but they are feared and accepted in the local group of the same nationality. They have the right to make anyone promoted on the job or how far their family can achieve through the royalty toward them.

The embassy employees contact each other to find any unwelcome person on the area and they help for the organized crime to neutralize the target. They can send the intelligence people speaking certain languages for the operation. They are happy to have such operations together for the improvement of the international relationship. They can receive certain amount for the counter-terrorism and surely some potion will end up in their pockets as the token of their advantage.

No one is original anymore

No body is original. Our mind is controlled and monitored by the Big Brother. Our thoughts are recorded through the brain wave monitoring and people will receive certain hypnosis for the behavioral modification. We are encouraged to become like the people on the TV. We are encouraged to find the role model from the celebrities. The teenagers talk about their ideals and their idols from the teenage celebrities. The new employees just finished their college are encouraged to find their ideal from the management models and in the sitcoms.

Our thoughts became much flatted and monotonous. We are encouraged to be busy with things yet we have no time for our own thoughts. We are taught to be the same as others in our group. If we try to become outstanding, we still have the model of doing so with the bad guy figures in the movie or geeks of the Sci-Fi fictions.

"How old are you? You supposed to behave like ...."
There is no longer the individuality of our lifestyles. We are encouraged to be like the normal citizen like on the mass media. Of course, there are certain social demands on the individuals for the behaviors and actions. However, there is no longer any outstanding models. If a young man don't get interested in a woman, he would be considered as a gay and bullied. Much of these drills are like of the military teaching solders to behave in the certain ways. Of cause, the Big Brother helps the possible drop outs with the hypnosis; the man might get artificial feeling toward women the Big Brother wants him to fall in love, or if it does not work, the Big Brother will help to find a man for him. Such feeling is so artificial. So, he cannot know the difference. The only difference is that he feels some certain sensation while thinking about the woman or the man. That is all. No special feeling of what or how he fall in love with that one. It works with the same for the role model choices.

Who is the author?

I studied quite much of social science field and a member of an organization related with political science. I received education in the US, and lived in Europe for some extent. Recently I traveled in the post-Yugo countries and learned the modern conflicts between Christian and Muslims. I am Christian, by the way. But I wanted to know more about this deep root of conflict and learn about the impact on the modern societies and traveled to an Islamic country later. That is another publication you might find in somewhere in the e-book selling stores in future. You might find more information about me in my other blogs.

What is Cacirema?

Cacirema is inspired by the term, Nacirema. Nacirema has been used by the social scientists to describe the behavors and cultures of the North American countries. Cacirema is a fictional story of a country called Cacirema which locates somewhere in North America to either side of the ocean. It could be located middle of the Atlantic Ocean like the legend of Atlantis. Or, it could be located in the middle of the Pacific Ocean because of its influence from the Asians.

It is also inspired by the books like 1984and Animal Farm by George Orwell. Aldous Huxley's Brave New World and the revised edition. Sir. Thomas More's Utopia is also credited here. It is the classical book necessary to talk about another fictional society.

I choose the name Cacirema to includes several meanings. First, the name shows that is like how Nacirema is used by people interested in sociology or anthropology or anything in social science field. I studied that field quite a lot in my life, so the new term might be appropriate to explain a similar behavior and culture in a specific fictional country. Second, the name sounds much like many fictional names of the countries. If it is located in the Middle East or Europe, I cold choose -stan or -nia ending name for the country. Because the name is familiar, readers can feel easy to get into the fictional world. Fourth, the term, Cacirema, is rare. Currently, only five search results are available in Google. Hopefully, using the word does not make companies or organization with the name. I clam the name of this day Feb 19, 2010, as my fictional country name. If anyone else created a company later and get problem with the name because of my storytelling, it is not my fault. Fifth, the first letter C represents either Communism or Chinese culture or Military Industrial "C"omplex. Sometimes conspiracy theorists often use these terms in the news. My use of these real terms are nothing more than of those used in the fictional books. I use the term to make the fiction exciting enough like Tom Clancy's books.

My goal is to develop a short stories about the fictional country, Cacirema. This is an experiment to share my knowledge and creativity on the new phenomenon in near future. If I get enough stories within this blog, I probably publish it in digital format
